Visa exemption is the act of allowing foreign citizens to enter and stay on a country's territory for a set amount of time without having to go through the necessary processes or pay the prescribed fees. 1. Update the List of Countries Eligible for a 45-Day Visa Exemption in Vietnam.
 
Effective August 15, 2023, it grants citizens of 13 countries a 45-day visa exemption from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or entry purpose: South Korea, Japan, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Belarus.

2. Entry Conditions for 45-Day Visa Exemption for Foreigners:

·        To enter and stay for 45 days under a visa exemption, the following conditions must be met:

·        Possess a valid passport issued by the competent state authority of the person's nationality.

·        The passport must remain valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Vietnam.

·        Have round-trip or onward tickets to other countries.

·        Not be among the individuals prohibited or restricted from entering Vietnam according to Vietnamese law.
