30th January 2015: Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a long-term plan to upgrade Vinh Airport in the central province of Nghe An to become an international airport.

30th January 2015: Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a long-term plan to upgrade Vinh Airport in the central province of Nghe An to become an international airport. A new terminal that covers 11,706 square meters at the airport was prepared to open at the end of this month with a designed capacity of 2 million passengers per year. In 2014, the airport handled 1.25 million passengers, registering an average growth of nearly 44% over the past 13 years, the highest growth rate in the nation.
