Visas need to be considered
When traveling to Vietnam, one of the most important issue is entry visa. This can be obtained prior to arriving into Vietnam at Vietnam embassy or Consulate; or it can be obtained on arrival by your ground handling agent assuming you have provided passport details at least 02 working days before you arrive.
Visa type:
Normal visa is single entry with max staying 30 days. An other option is multiple-entry visa with duration of staying up to 3 months. Should a 3-month multiple visa required to obtain on arrival, prior notice should be 5 working days minimum.
Required personal documents
Crew and passengers must have current passports with at least six months of remaining validity, and a valid visa into Vietnam.
Some citizens are not required visa for Vietnam. You should contact your local handling agent for this information before arriving into Vietnam
Vaccinations: Currently vaccination not required for Vietnam
Transportation:
The transportation system in Vietnam is at average. Car rental not suggested due to “chaos” traffic at big cities which is not familiar to foreign crew and passengers. Prepaid transportation with a driver is best choice which can be set up through your ground handling agent.
Hotel options
Most preferred hotels are located in the central city area of big cities. It is recommended that crew stay at 4-5 star hotels and hotel booking service can be done through your handling agent. Check in and check out time for hotel in Vietnam is 1400 and 1200 noon respectively. If you scheduled for early arriving and late departure, it’s best to book the night before and extend the following afternoon/ evening.
Hotel policies should be known well before you decide to book the room as cancellation policies required 03 days prior at least for changes or cancellation at most hotels.
Most hotels at big cities are at full occupancy during holidays. These holidays include New Year, Lunar New Year, Country Liberation day, Independent day.
